Welcome to Evoke Mind Services, I am a dedicated clinical social worker with over 20 years experience providing counselling to individuals and their families to help them overcome challenges related to: family conflict, individual, mental health and substance dependency.  I am a member of the NB Association of Social Workers.

 

I'm also a registered hypnotherapist, having studied at the École d'Hypnose Thérapeutique et Médicale du Québec et du Nouveau-Brunswick, with over 1,250 hours of training.  This school has formulated an intervention methodology based on scientific research, the only one of its kind in Canada.  I'm currently pursuing my Master's degree to become a certified hypnotist. I'm a member of the National Association of Naturopaths.

I hold certification as a Grief Recovery Specialist from the Institute of Grief Recovery, USA. 

 

My style of intervention is based on a combination of therapeutic approaches, with particular attention to trauma.  I have developed a wide range of clinical skills in areas such as: alcohol, chemical and compulsive gambling, bereavement, anxiety, self-performance, assertiveness, family conflict, marital conflict, pain management and more.   

 

I obtained my Bachelor of Social Work degree from the Université de Moncton in 2002, and began my career in child protection services.  I then joined Horizon Health Network in Moncton, where I provided individual and family counseling to high school students and their parents, focusing on substance use and mental health. After 12 years, I joined the adult treatment team, where I continue to accompany my clients today.

 

Beyond that, my discipline and commitment are rooted in my experiences as a cadet and instructor, where I spent my summers at CFB Greenwood.
